Traditional Face Painting is done on the cheek or hand. This is great for larger parties and special events. I offer different styles of face painting ( Please see other options that follow.) This traditional face painting will cover most event, birthdays and occassions where attendance is large.. Allowing bout 1 to 3 minuts per person is a good tool in estimating how much time the face painting activy will last. I like to perform face painting during the time when you are serving either a meal or cake, as face painting tends to be more of a one-on-one endeavor. I find that most children do enjoy watching the process, which I welcome, as observers are able to receive a mini art lesson!
Whole-Face Painting encompasses everything from partial face coverings to whole face and even neck This painting is done with makeup and requires a specially trained face painter. So if you are looking for animal and butterfly faces, mardi gras masks or swirls and free form designs, full face butterflies and more, this is the style face painting you should schedule. Depending on the intricacies, this can take anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes per attendee. Those who elect for a less dramatic look can have a simple design paintred on their face or hand..
Sometimes a child is not interested in being painted at all. If these children desire, I can paint a picture on a party napkin for them to have and take home..
Cotton uses only the best FDA approved, professional quality non-toxic face paints, avoiding painting near the eyes, nostrils and mouth, for safety and health.
While Cotton's paint colors and makeup colors are soap-and-water soluble, certain clothing made from fiber blends can present laundering issues. Please consult with Cotton or a reputable dry cleaner for directions before treating any spots with ANYTHING, even water.
With an extensive visual arts background (fine arts from NCSA & professional graphic designer) and tons of imagination, Cotton can render anything with paint and brush...as elaborately or simply as needed!
Thanks for encouraging me [at your show yesterday] to put aside my agenda, and do what was more important...You are such a dear person...I met someone tonight who I've seen at your shows before but have never officially met. We talked about how wonderful you are, and what a blessing your shows are. She and I had an immediate common bond..."
